MLO 6 Students develop a reasonable understanding of the ways of thinking, ideas, beliefs, attitudes, values, philosophies, the behavioral practices, patterns of social interactions, and the cultural products both tangible and intangible for example, art, history, literature, music of Hispanic societies. This course includes portfolio assessment of the immersion in Hispanic cultures requirement to start us and finish our capstone as well. We divide the capstone in small parts throughout the semester to help us be easier to work on the project since it is a very long project. Looking for your own topic and research on first looking at what is the main idea of your topic and thinking what you really have to look up to in order to look up for your idea. For example, looking for a book or story of a specific author you're trying to focus on for your topic. After we look for the topic, we divide three different arguments that are going to help us back up our main topic. This helped my partner and i to divide the work and overall helps us focus on the main topic and not getting lost on what to write or if we don't have anything else to talk about. It also helps us to focus on three important facts that will help us explain more about the topic. Also, the stories my partner and I choose are from the same author which gives the same idea from our topics we had to get the main idea from each of the stories. Taking the time to also research for other articles that backs up the main idea from the main stories we are using It is very important to understand the reading in order to make a statement out of them and this way we can have a clear work from our capstone.
